Dr.Gaeckle Chrisian Harald

Dr.Gaeckle Harald is a Well-Reputed Ophthalmologist and Eye surgeon with over 25 years of experience in Comprehensive Ophthalmology and specialization in cataract and refractive surgery.He is recognized for his expertise in vision correction procedures, including laser eye surgery, refractive lens exchange, Implantable collamer lenses (ICL) and astigmatism-correcting (toric) lens implantation. He is similarly a seasoned cataract surgeon adept to Phaco-refractive surgery,performing routine to complex cataract extraction and implantation of the latest generation of IOLs.He is skilled is management of subluxed and dislocated IOLs and scleral fixation of intraocular lenses

Dr.Gaeckle Harald serves as senior ophthalmologist and surgeon at Eagle Eye laser center on a visiting consultant basis,with scheduled visits every two months in a year.His full-time Practice location is Germany, at the Augen Laser Zentrum Neu-ulm.

Dr Gaeckle  has made significant contributions to Ophthalmology education and has been acknowledged for his Mentorship and Educator role in training of medical students and professionals alike throughout his career thus far and this aspect of his professional service has seen him train dozens of ophthalmologists.It goes without mention,that nationally for close to five years from the year  2001,he served as Senior Lecturer at the department of Ophthalmology University of Nairobi,under the DAAD-German Academic Exchange Service Program.

He is an acclaimed speaker and has made numerous presentations in ophthalmology congresses and conferences both nationally and internationally ,on various subjects relating to refractive surgery and technologies in intraocular lens designs.His research work is  extensive and he has authored and published numerous peer-reviewed articles and journals.

His interests outside of work are diverse, most notably his love for community philanthropy which has seen him support various projects in Africa, alongside travel  for charitable medical/cataract missions.
