Dr Lucy Njambi Ombaba is a Board-Certified fellow trained Ophthalmologist and eye surgeon specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus management. She carries with her over 14 years of experience in comprehensive ophthalmic care and expertise in children’s eye health with fellowship training in Retinoblastoma,Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus from The Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto(Canada) and Fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Care from The CCBRT Eye Hospital, Dar es Salaam, (Tanzania).
Her clinical practice is focused on comprehensive evaluation and treatment of conditions that affect the eyes of children, as well as the medical and surgical treatment of eye muscle disorders( Squint) in children and adults.She is expert in Pediatrics Ocular assessment and development of vision in children, amblyopia, strabismus (in both Children and adults), pediatric cataracts and retinopathy of prematurity, retinoblastoma, among others.
Dr Njambi serves at Eagle Eye Laser center as Pediatric ophthalmologist and Strabismus specialist and enjoys a teaching role as Lecturer, at the department of Ophthalmology, University of Nairobi
She is a Fellow of the College of Ophthalmology of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COECSA) and has authored high
impact ophthalmology publications on Children’s Eye disorders and Strabismus Management.
