Dr Faith Vata Masila

Dr.Faith Masila is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in Glaucoma from the University of Sydney(Australia),additional to Clinical and Research in Glaucoma fellowship training from University of Alberta(Canada).

She is widely reputed for her clinical expertise in Glaucoma, specializing in diagnosis and treatment; including medications, laser treatments, surgical interventions, diagnostic technology, management  glaucomas in children and Cataract surgery in glaucomatous eyes.

Dr.Masila clinical focus and approach in caring for her patients is built on Patient counseling upon diagnosis of Glaucoma,treatment adherence and follow up,for which she is actively involved in patient education programmes to support and empower patients living with the disease.She is similarly involved in the training of  health care professionals in ophthalmic skills upgrade courses,as well as  glaucoma management.

Dr Masila is widely regarded in her research work, in collaboration with other investigators on glaucoma and other eye diseases and has published numerous peer reviewed journals. She is a fellow of the College of Ophthalmology of Eastern, Central and Southern Africa (COECSA) and holds active membership with the Glaucoma Society of Kenya (GSoK) as well as the African Glaucoma Consortium.
